As you may recall I am heading to Europe in July to celebrate my sister’s birthday. I am in desperate need of comfortable walking shoes for this trip. Last year I traveled for two straight months wearing these non-supportive shoes. I made it through with no major foot problems, but this time around I want something with a bit more support without looking like grandma shoes. My top choices are a pair of the more dainty Audrey by Sperry, Keds, or back to flats. I wish there were a pair in my closet that would work for this trip, but unfortunately I have nothing. The one pair of flats I do own leave my shins aching after wearing them for just a few hours! Any suggestions on supportive shoes that are still stylish and chic? We all know I have to look put together.
Finding a good pair of stylish walking shoes that offer the true support we need is really hard to find. It looks like this post is somewhat old and I’m really curious to see what you went with. I tried to find an update post on your blog, but couldn’t find anything. I have a blog about walking shoes and stylish walking shoes in specific here, but I really want to update it to include more stylish shoes: http://www.thebestwalkingshoesguide.com/stylish-walking-shoes/
Thanks! And any recommendations to add?
Hi! I actually went with the Keds, but I must say I got some serious blisters the first time I wore them. I wear them now without a problem, and they are by far the most comfortable shoes I own. But this comes from someone who would never be caught in tennis shoes for anything other than a workout. I do also own a pair of Sperrys, but I don’t love the style – just not my taste. I think there are definitely some more stylish options out there for women. Clarks might have some nice options. You could always peruse shoe sites like Zappos and look for great reviews of shoes. Good luck to you!
Thank you so much for the reply! (yes I just saw this lol) I will definitely check out Keds and look more into Clarks. Thanks!
