I’m sure you’re all aware that I live in perpetual summer here on the Treasure Coast of Florida so the Spring season isn’t all that different than the rest. It’s sunny, it’s warm, it rains, same as our winter. There are a few things I love about this time of year – birthday celebrations are in abundance (mine’s the 8th of May), the weather isn’t deathly hot just yet (I can still wear jeans), and bright colors are once again acceptable to wear (although they should be acceptable year round here). I wore this little outfit to church last Sunday. It was the first time wearing this dress as I purchased it at the end of the spring season last year at Target for $8.00, yeah you read right $8.00. It was worth the wait, and I’m already coming up with more ways to get some use out of it. It’s definitely a dress I could fancy up with a pair of pumps and some blingier (it’s not a word… yet) jewelry, 0r dress down even more by throwing on a relaxed chambray shirt over it. I feel overdressed in a ton of situations, even church, so I try to always dress down whatever I am wearing so people don’t think I’m that crazy girl that gets all dressed up for church, although I heard people used to get dressed up for church. I’m sure it’s a myth. I also really like to be comfortable so pairing this dress with d’orsays instead of heels was a good decision on my end – pat on the back for that. Before I let you shop the look, can we take a second to talk about the color? I love it. It’s one of two green pieces of clothing that I own and it’s making me want to find some other green to add to my ever evolving wardrobe. Ok, now you can shop the look! Oh, and shop the sunnies here.
