It’s here! The first of hopefully many local shop features. I stopped into Go Fish in Downtown Stuart last week to chat with store owners Chris and Judy Farley, shop all the goods, and have some fun trying on the most perfect summer dresses. First, the clothes! I browsed the shop a few times prior to my visit, but never tried anything on. This time I tried on tons of their dresses and was so impressed by the fit – they were all extremely flattering and I felt completely at ease in them. Walking into the store you get the sense that you’re somewhere exotic and almost every piece is something that looks as if you got it on a great adventure in South America or Indonesia. Which is pretty much the case – minus the adventure part – almost everything in the store is crafted by artisans in developing countries. Go Fish works with the artist directly, removing the middle man, and building relationships with gifted artisans all over the world. It’s a pretty amazing concept. In addition to the clothes, they also sell tons of accessories, shoes, and home goods. Isn’t that fish just the cutest?

The Downtown Stuart store moved this summer and it’s new location and store layout is a definite upgrade than the last spot. The layout is more open and airy, all things I love in a boutique. Litasha took loads more photos of the goods and I’ll be posting them on my Facebook page later today. Not local? Go Fish has 11 other locations and an online shop.

Here’s a look at what I’m wearing in the photos and some other things I loved at the shop. The dress in the last few photos isn’t available online, but I’m sure if you drop by the store Judy can help you find it.

Berkshire Maxi Dress // Milan Dress // Island Cay Batik Dress // Frida Batik Dress // Clay Fish Home Décor in Red // Chirp Chirp Wooden Bird // Cosmos Necklace in Blue // South Bay Necklace in Gold // Pont Des Arts Necklace

A very special thank you to Chris and Judy for allowing Litasha and I to invade your store so close to closing time! And a huge thank you to Litasha for coordinating everything. You are a gem.
