PackingForNYC

I’m off to Connecticut bright and early this morning. I’ll be spending a some time with my grandmother here before I head to NYC for a few days to visit friends and do lots of exploring. I have an official spring break this year and I’m taking complete advantage of it. When I booked the flight a couple weeks ago I thought to myself surely the weather will be much warmer by the time I visit. Ha, I was wrong. Completely. It’s not going to be polar vortex cold, but still pretty chilly for this Florida girl. Some things I had in mind to bring just don’t make much sense for this weather – like the perfect little trench I found in the girls section at Gap. Maybe next year. I try my best to pack light for trips, sometimes I’m successful, sometimes not.  For this trip these are the things I am going to be packing plus a few tops to wear under my sweaters, maybe a dressier top for a night out, a KU shirt because I’m hoping they’ll still be in the tourney, a cardi, and perhaps a chambray shirt – oh and gloves! Anyone else spending their spring break somewhere cold? I know it’s kind of against the norm as everyone is escaping the cold for warm weather and beaches!
