I’m back! Back from a long blogging break. Back from a almost month long vacation, back to reality, back to the grind. This week I’m taking some time to create an editorial calendar for the blog and starting to schedule shoots with my go-to photographers. In truth I haven’t started working on the calendar yet, but I’m excited to do so! I hope to have lots of new content for you come fall.

We snapped these photos a while back, hence the long hair. My eight year old niece and I chopped our hair over a month ago and donated it to Children with Hair Loss. It’s something that hits close to home for both of us so I’m happy we could do it together. It was a fun/terrifying experience. My poor niece almost panicked when she realized how short her hair was, but my sister talked her out of it with some encouraging words. Crisis averted. We both have gotten used to the short length and I’ve even mastered a new styling tool! The 1 1/4″ curling wand. This is quite a feat for someone that doesn’t even know how to French braid!
