Today I am leaving bright and early to pick up two of my college besties at the Fort Lauderdale airport to make our way down to Miami for a few days. I know I call myself a South Florida girl, but I must tell you a secret…. I have never spent more than a few hours in Miami. A lot of it has to do with the fact I know almost no one down there. Another contributing factor is that Miami intimidates me to no end and seems like its own little subculture to which I will never belong. With all that said, I am ready to overcome my anxiety and I am super excited to spend a few days relaxing by the water and sightseeing with my friends. It has been forever since we have spent time together. FOREVER.
The weather is supposed to be in the low 80’s the entire time we are there so I am thinking skirts and dresses for daytime and the above for our trips to the beach.

awww… i feel this struggle. ive been living in miami for almost 3 years and still dont have a subculture either. the cool kids are too cool (and high) for me and im not quite a hipster either. dah well! enjoy your friends!!!
